BEHIND THE SCENES OF A COUNTRY BLOGGER
Behind the scenes of a country blogger... or more precisely behind the scenes of an aspiring paramedic, photographer and country blogger. As many of you are aware the blogging front of 'the girl in green' has been a little neglected lately. Neglected I say lightly as despite the lack of public posts, 'behind the scenes' has been super busy and productive so I thought id share whats going on in the busy little life of Meg.
Being a second (final) year paramedic student, this year unsurprisingly counts a hell of a lot so ultimately has to come before pretty much anything! Despite this I don't want to stop blogging , its kind of like my method of chill seeing as though I can't go galloping across fields anymore. So yes I am genuinely super sorry for the pretty much 'no post November' but Im hoping it was worth it! I now have lots of plans, drafts, completed blogs and ideas etc all ready to go for when im at my busiest. This stops any rushed and half hearted blogs as I am 100% not about that!
So what has been happening?
Lots has happened in Nov/Dec and all in the right direction! We now have a published Christmas Gift Guide with over 50 products featured, a daily '14 days to Christmas' insta story post sharing last minute gifts, self treats and outfit inspirations, almost 2000 amazing, lovely and supportive followers and a new camera lens! I am also now a brand ambassador for Game Bird Designs, Frederick Williams Clothing, Muddy Footprints Country Clothing and Tottie Clothing (Lots to share with you very soon, they deserve their own post!).
So you're probably thinking ok Meg but what does this mean for us readers?
This means lots of exciting new posts and opportunities! Starting with the new camera lens I can now (hopefully) take a lot better photos meaning my instagram feed and blog content will look a lot more appealing. It also means my photography business 'gap year' has ended and with new website, business cards, portfolio a few clicks away from completion 'MJPhotos' is nearly back open for business (around uni work obviously).
Blog plans?
So as requested and I do love to involve you all and share all my ideas and with a flow of creativity sat in my boyfriends MULE, in the Scottish hills, Canon and gun at the side , lots and lots of blogs were planned! So here they are a few in no particular order. Some are surprises so can't be shared and naturally new ones will spring to mind but at least you have a little idea of what to expect.
-BEDROOM INSPIRATION-
-12 DAYS OF SELF TREATS AFTER CHRISTMAS-
-WINTER WISHLIST-
-EQUESTRIAN OUTFITS-
-SNAFFLES AND CARTRIDGE ACCESSORY EDIT-
-RUDDS BRAND OF THE MONTH-

-HURD & CO TRIED AND TESTED-
-MY MUST HAVE WINTER SKIN CARE ESSENTIALS-
-THE GAMEKEEPERS GIRLFRIEND PART TWO-

Id also like to share that despite thinking this would be my last year as a Tottie Clothing blogger (equestrian clothing company) I was asked to renew my contract and become a 2018 brand ambassador which is super exciting and I cant wait to promote the versatility of their clothing within both the equine and country lifestyle! This also means I continue to write a monthly blog post on their website so ill make sure to share the links! I hope to involve my equestrian passion a lot more this year too, hopefully a new four legged arrival will be with us this time next year (all dependent on qualifying as a paramedic in 6 months! eeeeeek)
I hope this blog title wasn't misleading at all as it didn't turn out how I had originally hoped but being my second rewrite after leaving my laptop at Toms in Scotland yesterday, two hours worth of writing deleted on my ipad app and driving to Scotland and back today for said laptop (uni deadlines and no laptop don't mix) this is it! What do we think to a future post about for example what goes into an individual post so like the photo taking, outfit planning, drafting, involving businesses etc?
Either way feedback on this or any of previous or the future blog topics is always welcome! I wish you all the best for 2018 and hope 2017 has been kind to you! Thank you all for your continued support in the creating of this blog! I literally couldn't do it with out you all and I hope keeping blogging is good for us both!
Speak soon,
Meg xx
