Burghley Spectator Outfit Inspo

Burghley International Horse Trials is located in the beautiful town of Stamford. Overflowing with gorgeous trade stands, stunning horses and 1000’s of spectators finding the right outfit can be challenging. Do you go all out glitz and glam or perfectly practical? Will it be rain and wind or a September sun day? Country boots or suede loafers? The day you choose will also affect your outfit so to give you a little inspiration here is my Burghley spectator outfit inspo. Ideal for any of the 4 days.

As soon as I set eyes on this gorgeous cape it became an instant item to add to my wish/need list! It screams country class without being overpriced or over dressy. The Contessa Tweed Cape by Joules is priced at £259.00 which is an absolute steal for something so stunning! I chose the camel herringbone for this outfit as it styles with lots of my favourite items perfectly. The cape is made of tweed wool, with a faux-fur trim and a gold zip. Its warmth and practicability makes it an essential item for any horse trials or country event.

For when the sun makes an appearance and the cape comes off this S.Entwistle Bella ruffle shirt, priced at £59.00, ensures you still look amazing. With ruffle details, a slim, flattering fit and cut out upper arms it gives an elegant twist to the traditional white button shirt. Paired with the white Teddy Edward Cissie Moleskin jeans (£99.00) the style is striking and practical perfect for the walk round the cross country course.

For your feet the Fairfax and Favour, Regina, Mahogany Leather boot (£315.00) is perfect. As they state their ‘timelessly stylish but oh-so practical’ make this boot the idea choice for this exciting event. Not only are they comfy, flattering and flexible but the handmade supple leather means they can even withstand the horse show terrain. They look gorgeous with the cape and shirt and match the accessories beautifully. The interchangeable tassels mean you can add your own individual touch.

No outfit is complete with a range of incredible accessories. First of all I

have the outstanding Mackenzie and George Warwick belt (£119.99). This belt is truly something else. The feather and shotgun shell design is unique and smart. Inspired by the British Field Pursuits and Countryside it adds even more class and beauty. Fedora’s complete the equestrian/country show outfit and the Suffolk Fedora by Hicks and Brown (£79.00) is just stunning! The natural feathers, tan band and wool felt complement each other and the belt perfectly.

All of the jewellery in this outfit is from no other than HiHo Silver. They truly have something for everyone! Ive gone for the equestrian range starting with the gorgeous rose gold Vermeil Double Snaffle Bracelet (£105) and the exclusive sterling silver and rose gold Vermeil Cherry Roller Snaffle Bangle (£215). Whether worn together or on their own these two individuals paired with the sterling silver and rose gold Vermeil Cherry Roller Snaffle Necklace (£150) and the Sterling Silver Horse Hoof ring(£25.00) look fabulous!

To finish off this outfit I’ve chosen the gorgeous Foxley Cowhide Handbag from Hyde and Hare (£185). It’s the ideal size and is absolutely stunning! The carefully hand-selected hide means the bag is one of a kind and will make you stand out from the crowd! Having the right size bag at equestrian events is a challenge. Too big and you get sick of carting one around, too small and you can’t fit in all of your essentials! With a handle large enough for arm, hand or shoulder and space large enough for that champagne bottle, treats and almost anything you purchase from the lovely trade stands it couldn’t be any more perfect!

I hope you all have a brilliant time and id love to meet a few of you!
